This unit builds strategic collaborations with the industries to ensure vast career opportunities are readily available for our students upon graduation. The unit also assists students for the industry where practical attachments are provided during studies (internships), and related assessments are conducted to ensure both students and industry requirements are balanced and well taken-care of.

JOB DESCRIPTION: –

  • Monitoring daily shipping details & monthly inventory level.
  • Respond to any complaints and resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics process.
  • Efficient at time management and organization skills.
  • Highly adaptable to change and able to keep up with the fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS: –

  • Candidate must possess at least LCCI/Diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
  • Fresh graduated are welcome to apply. Training will be provided during on duties.
  • Good in communication and problem solving skills.
  • Able to work as soon as possible.
  • Able to speak in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Melayu.

Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad

RESPONSIBILITIES: –

  • Preparation and finalization of subsidiaries’ annual financial statements; monthly and quarterly management accounts; monthly cash flow forecast and annual estimates.
  • Statutory financial reporting compliance and liaise with external auditor and lead the audit process.
  • Review and manage tax compliance, tax audit and tax filing.
  • Handling and supervising day to day accounting and financial operations.

Other responsibilities for Accountant based in Malaysia (Head Office, Ipoh)

  • Consolidating of refineries operations of the Group including performing analytical review on financials, costing, derivatives, margin analysis for management reporting of refineries operations.
  • Perform budget analysis and costing report for management reporting of refineries operations.

REQUIREMENTS: –

  • Professional accounting qualifications with minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience, preferably with a professional accounting firm.
  • Knowledge in refineries/manufacturing operations and hedging will be an added advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance requirements of MFRS / IFRS.
  • Computer literate and able to work independently. Knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Possess good communication skills, able to work with all levels of staff in the organization and a good team player.
  • Must be a MIA member.

RESPONSIBILITIES: –

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports for informational, auditing and operational purposes.
  • Review of the Plantation Estate Financial Statement.
  • Prepare estimate for Plantation.
  • Provide support Operation Centers.
  • Ensure accounting records, reports and disclosures with accounting standard and organizational policies.
  • To carry out any other related accounts duties as assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS: –

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Equivalent from recognized university.
  • Computer literate and able to work independently.
  • Possess good communication skills, able to work with all levels of staff in the organization and a good team player.
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

RESPONSIBILITIES: –

  • Fund Management
  1. Assist in cash payment allocation and receipts for KLKPO and GYSB.
  2. Preparing of KLKPO daily fund related documents including placement, withdrawal, drawdown and repayment of banking facilities.
  • Updating of cash book and preparing of bank reconciliation for KLKPO and GYSB to supporting documents.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly cash flow reports and preparing of accounting related schedule.
  • Posting of journal entries for KLKPO and GYSB for HQ level.
  • Accounts Receivable – to Assist in monitoring of Accounts Receivable of marketing HQ and related matters.

REQUIREMENTS: –

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (Preferred)/Finance or equivalent from recognized university.
  • Minimum 2-3 years working experience (preferably in accounting) / business finance or other relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
  • Able to work using Microsoft Office especially Excel Spreadsheet.
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Must be willing to be based in Ipoh and required to travel if necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES: –

  • Conducting audits either independently or as part of a team as determined by the Internal Audit Plan.
  • Scheduling audit activities to attain goals and objectives.
  • Preparing audit reports outlining audit findings.

REQUIREMENTS: –

  • Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years or more experience in auditing.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge in CAATs would be an added advantage.
  • A team player requiring minimum supervision.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Willing to transfer within Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad Group of Companies and to serve in Indonesia.

RESPONSIBILITIES: –

  • Responsible to do general clerical and accounting duties.
  • Able to do basic accounting, bookkeeping and data entry.
  • Handle day to day operation of accounting record and maintain systematic filing system.
  • Able to do any other tasks delegated by superior from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS: –

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma or LCCI.
  • At least one year working experience in related field.
  • Computer literate and knowledge in MS office and MS word.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Being a Science stream student was a disadvantage for me. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop me from pursuing my dream to become an auditor by joining Kompas in 2015 January. I studied part time while at same time handling car rental business to support my studies. I graduated from Kompas on June 2018 and currently I’m working as an Internal Auditor at Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad.Thank you Kompas for allowing me to pursue ACCA.
